Despite the economy downturn, Patio Renaissance announced an annual growth of 45% in sales for the 2009 season. “ We are excited about our growth” said Albert Lord, VP marketing. “ We were expecting a much smaller one. Yet the truth is our dealers were selling.” When asked what the reasons were for the success, he replied “ I guess one of the major reasons is our designs with reasonable pricing. Our products move faster than the other people’s. Our products have become bread and butter for most of our dealers. It is easier for them to predict how much they can sell and how much money they can make to pay their bills. This is what they need at this time of difficulty. Our dealers would rather stock more of our products and lower the inventory of other people’s. They are so happy with what they have experienced and are planning to do more business with us”. “ I would expect another growth of at least 25% in 2010 season while most of the other manufacturers in the industry are not sure of their future”.
After several years of struggling, Patio Renaissance has finally acquired a permanent showroom at the Merchandise Mart. Michael Anzelde, national sales manager, says “ We are so excited to have a permanent showroom although it’s not a big one”. Their new showroom is located on the 16th floor right between Lloyd Flanders and Treasure Garden. “ We feel the location is perfect. Our neighbors are all very old key players in the industry. I’m sure there will be a lot of traffic at the Casual Market in Sep.” The new showroom is currently under renovation and will be finished for opening right before the International Casual Furniture Market starting on Sep 21, 2009. Michael Anzelde says “ The new showroom means a lot to us. It brings us one more step forward and it also means a much greater commitment to our dealers that we need to provide better services and products. We will do whatever we can to keep our customers happy. And we expect more business from our existing dealers and pick up some new customers from exhibiting on one of the busiest floors of top manufacturers.”
